Prospective Students
General Information
Sts. Joachim and Ann is a co-educational Catholic school for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish began in 1981. The school opened its doors in 1983 to 352 students. In the fall of 1986, a Kindergarten was added and in 2006 it became a full-day Kindergarten program. The parish expanded its facilities in 2006-2007 to include new heating and air conditioning, a new parish center/gymnasium, and an expansion of the worship and gathering space in the church. Sts. Joachim and Ann School continues to serve the community's educational and spiritual needs.
Sts. Joachim and Ann is accredited by the Missouri Chapter of the National Federation of Nonpublic School State Accrediting Association.
Services
Faculty
Our experienced faculty is composed completely of certified teachers, many whom have master's and/or post graduate degrees. They are committed to continuing their education and religious formation. Teachers' aides are utilized in assisting teachers and students in their daily work.
Testing
Students test above local and national average on standardized testing. The Iowa Test of Basic Skills is given annually in September.
Lunch
The students may participate in the hot lunch program offered daily or they may bring their own lunch. Milk or juice is also available for sale. The cafeteria offers many homemade items and a full-service salad bar daily.
Before & After Care
There is a school sponsored on-site Before and After School Care Program available for students in our school. The morning hours are from 6:30 to 7:25 a.m. The afternoon hours run from dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
Admission and Tuition
Dependents of Catholic families registered and worshipping in our parish will be eligible to apply for admission at in Sts. Joachim and Ann School.
