Liturgical Music Ministry
MISSION
Liturgical Music Ministry at Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish bears the mission, above all else, to lead the members of our worshipping assembly to "full, active and conscious participation" in the liturgical life of the Parish. In this particular way, we support and advance the mission of the Parish to be a Worshiping Family and we make every effort to reach out with Sacred Music to draw worshippers of all ages into prayer through the fullest possible experience of the rich and diverse repetoire of music in the Catholic tradition.
SCOPE OF SERVICE
Liturgical Music Ministers at Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish serve as song leaders, cantors, instrumentalists, accompanists, and choir members for Sunday Worship, for Seasons and Feasts, for Masses of Christian Burial and for celebrations of Baptism and Marriage.
- Adult Choirs for Eucharist on the Eve of Sunday at 5:00pm and on Sunday at 8:45am
- Children's Choir (3rd through 8th graders) for Eucharist on Sunday at 10:30 am
- Youth Choir (9th grade through young adult) for Eucharist on Sunday at12:15 pm
- Resurrection Funeral Choir
Liturgical Music Ministry also includes the possibility of Seasonal concerts of Sacred Music or Evenings of Scripture and Song. New ministers are always welcome! Each year in late August, there is an Adult/Teen Music Ministry Kick-off night. We sing, pray, snack, and renew our vision and mission.
